Well, it's official! We have finally closed on the sale of the house in Monterey. We spent the weekend celebrating the good news. As sad as it was to say Goodbye to that beautiful home, we were more anxious to move on with our new life in Scottsdale. The escrow process however left us on pins and needles the entire 2 months that it took to close. That's not an adventure I want to do again anytime soon. We had the honor of meeting the buyers and it was an immediate match made in heaven. It is their dream house and I am so happy we sold it to people who will love it as much as we did. Above all else, I am thrilled to be unemployed for the moment. It will be sad to leave my colleagues and friends behind, but I know I will stay in close contact.
Our new life in Scottsdale is amazing. James has been extremely busy with his new role and I am enjoying watching the girls grow up. I feel so guilty to admit it but I spend my days swimming, laughing, playing, dressing up, and dancing around--living the life! I interviewed at a hospital that I think will be a perfect fit, but I won't have my Arizona pharmacy license until late next month so I will enjoy these amazing days spent loving the girls.
Leia started dance classes and she begs me to go everyday. She has found a friend here that is even more girly-girl than she is so now I find myself holding in my laughter as I watch Leia try to walk and play in her Princess dresses and high heels. It's amazing what peer pressure will do. Leia is also in swim lessons every Saturday. With so many outdoor pools here, I realize how important it is for our babies to learn to swim.

Nora is on the move, crawling everywhere, standing up and trying to follow in her sister's foot steps. Nora is the happiest, most joyful person I know. Still extremely calm, but now she is laughing and giggling at all times. I can't believe she will be 1 year old in a couple of months. Seems like yesterday I was pregnant with her. Tonight James and I were watching the girls laugh at each other as they were playing hide-and-seek. It's been incredible to see their relationship progress. Leia can never get enough of her little sister and Nora looks all over the house searching for Leia when she is not around.

We have joined a gym called Lifetime Fitness and it has been the most wonderful activity of the day. I spend 1 hour swimming with the girls, then I let them play in the kid's club while I enjoy an hour to myself. It works out great for all of us. I also met a great friend who introduced me to several other people and things including a group called Stroller Strides in which you workout with the children in the stroller. Except, Leia begs to do the entire boot camp workout along with me and attempts to do push ups, sit ups, planks, running the stairs, etc. She's such a character.

We took the girls to the snow last weekend in Flagstaff and had a blast. I love that it is only a couple of hours away. Also I'm so excited that James and I have found an amazing babysitter who watches the girls every Friday so we can have a date night and explore what Scottsdale has to offer for adults. The weather here has been 90s in the day and cools down to a breezy 75 at night. I love it!! Wait until the summer, then my opinion might differ quite a bit.
We welcome any visitors to come out our way. We have been so lucky to have both grandmas and Papa Ted come visit. So glad we are close to a big airport now.
